While wireless charging may not be as fast as a traditional plug, being able to plop your phone on a wireless charging block/stand/mat while at your desk, eating dinner, or sleeping can make a world of difference to the phone and its user. It helps that some of these new devices, like the OnePlus 9 Pro, are seeing the boundaries of wireless charging speeds pushed. OnePlus finally brought wireless charging to one of its handsets, and instead of being limited to the standard 10W or 15W, the 9 Pro features wireless charging speeds up to 50W (with a compatible charger).

Samsung is usually one of the companies to lead the way in terms of pushing the limits of what Android can do, and the company did the same thing with charging. Sure, you are able to see wireless charging speeds up to 15W, but the real benefit for Samsung flagships is the company’s “Wireless PowerShare”. This makes it so you can plop some of the best wireless earbuds onto the back of your Galaxy S21 Ultra and they will be charged wirelessly.
