BloodRayne 1 And 2 Remasters Head To Consoles Next Month

Last November, Ziggurat Interactive released enhanced remasters of 2000s action games BloodRayne 1 and 2 on PC. One year later, and those ports are finally making their way to consoles.

Both games, dubbed BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne 2: ReVamped, don’t remake the games from the ground up. Rather, they’re polished-up versions of the cult favorite titles made to run on modern hardware. While they retain the same visuals, each title supports 4K resolution (up to 3840×2160), features upscaled cinematics along with improved lighting and effects such as reflections and fog. While the gameplay remains unchanged, ReVamped is more for fans looking to enjoy the games as they remember them without having to plug in an old console to enjoy them.

BloodRayne: ReVamped

The ReVamped games launch November 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch. It’s a digital release, but Limited Run Games will release limited physical editions of the PS4 and Switch versions. There’s no word on the price, but the PC versions, dubbed the Terminal Cuts, run for $14.99 each so I would expect the same for ReVamped.

Along with this year’s remaster of 2011’s BloodRayne: Betrayal, the entire series will soon become readily available on modern platforms. We can only hope that this strategy points to Ziggurat Interactive, which acquired the BloodRayne IP in 2020, gearing up for a new entry in the long-dormant franchise. Or maybe we just get another Uwe Boll movie. Apologies for putting that evil on us.
