Call of Duty 2020 Puzzles Day 2 Brings Another History Lesson

The race continues as fans race to the Call of Duty 2020 teaser page in search of answers. Another video brings more history to fans as time travels forward. Call of Duty fans are both frustrated and excited at this constant race towards new information with more questions then answers in their possession.

Call of Duty 2020 grows ever closer as fans are constantly watching these history videos. Each video has focused on specific details from each segment of time driving forward a unique point in each video. As with the previous video, fans have discovered new codes and locations previously inaccessible.

The video, stylized like a classic VHS tape, cuts between different points in history. This video covers the years 1968-1969, jumping towards the end of the iconic era. Glimpses into the Nixon election mixed with Vietnam War footage gave the impression of a battlefield in a stalemate politically and offshore. The demilitarized zone is backing up into the battlefield meanwhile elections in the homeland continue to delay. The end of the video puts a heavy focus on the Moon Landing with extended footage of the rocket taking off mixed with the landing itself.

This at least gives fans a good look at wars taking place. Moving the focus from the Cold War itself towards Vietnam might hint at future maps where players will have to confront enemy forces. Although the franchise has never forced political problems upon the players, elections on the homeland may affect the deployment of certain aspects of the upcoming game.

The strange focus on the Moon Landing, which is often seen as a U.S. victory over Russia, would make sense for the next game. Treyarch hinted an extra detail by posting an image of the rocket taking off, from their video, onto its Instagram. This extra detail puts even more focus on the rocket taking off and the success of the United States in making it to the moon first.

Players are awaiting the third video tomorrow which will no doubt hold even more information about the upcoming title. Each video seems to be tied to a cipher, and as fans continue to solve Call of Duty puzzles Activision will simply drag them along to the next puzzle. This is quickly developing into one of the best promotional campaigns for Call of Duty yet it is also slightly irritating as the answers are so close, yet so far away.

Call of Duty 2020 is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software
