Fallout 4: 10 Things You Missed In Goodneighbor | Game Rant

Goodneighbor is one of the major locations found in Fallout 4. It is home to criminals, mobsters, and synths trying to escape from The Institute and trying to make a life in the Commonwealth. The area is based on Scollay Square located in Boston, with the old street signs still visible and Scollay Square being on the Memory Den’s sign.

Goodneighbor is home to some interesting characters, encounters, and facts. A few of these might surprise the player, while others might seem very obvious. A few of these facts are related to the game, while others are related to real-life locations and people.

10 Deacon Can Be Found In Two Locations

Deacon is a member of the Railroad who can be found stalking the player. He disguises himself to blend into certain locations in order to keep an eye on the Sole Survivor. His first sighting in Goodneighbor can be found at the entrance and during Hancock’s speech.

Deacon can also be found inside of the Memory Den. He is found inside of one of the pods, possibly reliving a memory. It is revealed Deacon was married once, meaning he could be reliving a bit of his old life.

9 Magnolia Is Voiced By A Wonder Woman Actress

Magnolia is the performer at The Third Rail. She is also revealed to be a synth if the player checks her inventory. What players might not know is that she is voiced by Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1970s.

Lynda also recorded some songs for the game, such as ‘Good Neighbor’ and ‘Train Train’. The player is able to ask Magnolia on a date, which will end at the Rexford Hotel. Just to think, the player can date a version of Wonder Woman.

8 KL-E-0 Has A Plan To Kill Residents

Kleo is an Assaultron who runs the shop Kill or Be Killed. She might appear friendly, but hacking her terminal shows that she has a plan to kill the residents of Goodneighbor.

She plans to shoot Daisy with a laser from long range, pay one of Whitechapel Charlie’s associates to kill him, strangle Fahrenheit, and poison all of the chems to kill Hancock. Interestingly, Kleo does not want to kill Magnolia, instead intending to scare her away from Goodneighbor.

7 Marowski Is An Institute Informant

Marowski is a drug dealer who can be found inside of the Hotel Rexford. He once had more power, being a drug kingpin and a party maniac. He decided to settle down, instead settling outside of the Hotel Rexford.

It would seem he also found a new line of work. If the player checks a terminal in The Institute for informants, Marowski is shown to be one. It seems to be a good location, as Synths go to the Memory Den to get their memories erased.

6 Killing The Criminal At The Entrance

When the player first enters Goodneighbor, they will be greeted by a man named Finn. He will tell the player to pay a fee, which the player can either do or threaten the man. Hancock will walk up afterwards, stabbing Finn to death.

The player can kill Finn before Hancock does so without the town turning hostile. Doing this will cause Hancock to say he likes the Sole Survivor already, saying they have shown dominance.

5 Mayor Hancock Is Diamond City Mayor’s Brother

Hancock is the Ghoul mayor of Goodneighbor, dressing like the Revolutionary War hero. While he is known as John Hancock, this is not his real name. He was born as John McDonough, which is sure to sound familiar to players.

The mayor in Diamond City is also a McDonough. This is because they are brothers, with Mayor McDonough exiling his brother when Hancock turned into a Ghoul. Hancock instead turned Goodneighbor into a sanctuary for anyone who needs a home.

4 Can Be Accessed From Fallen Skybridge

Most locations can only be accessed by doorways or by sewer entrances. Diamond City, for instance, can only be accessed by walking into the front. Players are able to access Goodneighbor from above.

By jumping off the Fallen Skybridge above the location, players are able to enter Goodneighbor. They will most likely need to use a jetpack attachment to avoid fall damage.

3 Old State House Found In Goodneighbor

The Old State House is intact in the aftermath of the Great War. This is the location where Hancock took the outfit of the Revolutionary War hero John Hancock. In Fallout 4, the Old State House is home to Hancock and the Neighborhood Watch.

It is also home to a few of the residents of Goodneighbor. It is good to see a historic location in Boston has been put to good use, while also still being intact.

2 Third Rail Is The Only Place In Commonwealth With Live Entertainment

Players might not realize it, but The Third Rail is the only location in the Commonwealth that provides live entertainment. Magnolia sings and performs for the patrons of the bar. Nowhere else does this occur.

Other bars and locations only play music through radios. It is one thing that makes Goodneighbor a truly unique place in the Commonwealth.

1 Vault-Tec Rep Found In Goodneighbor

The Vault-Tec Rep is one of the first NPCs the player will meet at the beginning of Fallout 4. He gives the player a location in Vault 111, but sadly does not get a spot himself. He is last seen running away from the vault.

Except players can find him in Hotel Rexford, this time appearing as a Ghoul. He has survived the aftermath of the war, setting up in Goodneighbor. The player is able to greet him and offer him a spot inside a settlement, much to the Vault-Tec Rep’s pleasure.
