Fall Guys Update Adds Valve Costumes to PS4 and Makes Quality of Life Changes

Fall Guys developer Mediatonic is continuing to make good with the community and listen to all the feedback coming its way. After Fall Guys launched to a shaky start, the developer behind the deceivingly cute battle royale game is adding more and more quality of life changes to keep players happy. A new update to Fall Guys has one feature that is gaining overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community.

After launching on PC and PlayStation 4, eager fans flocked to the unique battle royale game in waves which caused the game’s servers to overload immediately. While the sales numbers for Fall Guys was great news for Mediatonic, the downside is that the developer did not anticipate over 8 million PS4 players trying to get into the game. Since the server crashes, Mediatonic has been very communicative on Twitter about the ongoing repairs to servers and how it is updating the game to improve its overall performance and ways to keep it fun.

Fans have been pretty vocal about cross-play for Fall Guys and other changes they would like to see from the PC version to the PlayStation 4 version of the game. This latest update seems to be the first step in merging the two platforms as Mediatonic is bringing the once PC-only Valve skins for characters to the PS4, which presumably would be the Gordon Freeman, Alyx, and Team Fortress Scout outfits. However, Fall Guys doesn’t have cross-progression at the moment, so fans who own the Valve skins on PC will presumably need to buy them again on PS4.

Another positive update coming to Fall Guys is addressing those dreaded team games. Fans have been asking for fewer team games throughout a Fall Guys match and those wishes have been granted. Team games are said to be the bane of some player’s existence as they can be rather frustrating if other teammates aren’t pulling their weight to advance to the next round. In some instances, unlucky players would fall into back-to-back team games but the new update for Fall Guys is preventing that situation from happening. The next step for Mediatonic seems to be to remove the Yellow Team from Fall Guys as the fan base has a weird grudge against that color specifically.

Mediatonic is doing a fantastic job updating Fall Guys and keeping its player base happy even if the release of the game has been fairly bumpy since day one. In an attempt to win players over and apologize for the mishaps of the game, Mediatonic has dished out a free outfit for Fall Guys and 5,000 Kudos, which is the currency used in the game. Fortunately, the game has been running pretty smoothly since the initial player bombardment and servers are holding up as Fall Guys gains more and more players every day.

In related Fall Guys news, popular Twitch streamer TimTheTatman can finally breathe a sigh of relief as he finally earned that elusive win in Fall Guys. Tim spent a frustrating week falling over throughout the game and being mocked on social media as one of the worst Fall Guys players currently. Through sheer determination and encouragement, over 300,000 people tuned in to watch Tim get his first win in Fall Guys and all of Twitch and Twitter celebrated as #HEDIDIT began to trend worldwide.

Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
