Pokemon GO hosts a new event schedule for Dragon Week, and players will get the opportunity to cash in on new Pokemon and prizes.
Thanks to the developer Niantic, Pokemon GO has been incredibly consistent with releasing new content for the game, such as announcing a new legendary raid for Pokemon GO. One of its most recent events, called “Dragon Week,” however, has many fans angry due to technical difficulties preventing them from receiving prizes.
To atone for the mistakes that occurred during the first Pokemon GO Dragon Week event, Niantic is hosting another Dragon Week event with more themed research tasks. The event takes place from Friday, August 21st, at 8:00 am local time to Wednesday, August 26th, at 10:00 pm local time. So here is a quick list of what players need to know to make the most out of Dragon Week.
For the first set of ultra unlocks, players must power up Pokemon three times to receive three hyper potions. If players make two beautiful throws, they will be awarded 500 XP. And if players catch two Pokemon, they will get five Pokeballs. The rewards for completing all three tasks is five hundred pieces of stardust, a Dratini, and a silver pinap berry.
The second set of rewards tasks players to evolve a Pokemon to win three revive pieces. Players who make four nice throws will earn an additional 300 XP. Lastly, players who catch four Pokemon will receive seven Pokeballs. The rewards for completing all of these tasks is five hundred pieces of stardust, a Bagon, and a silver pinap berry.
For the third set of ultra unlocks, if players can win a raid, they will win one charged TM. Players who make two great throws will receive an additional one thousand experience points. Finally, players who catch six Pokemon will get five great balls. The rewards for completing all of this is one thousand pieces of stardust, a Deino, and one silver pinap berry.
The fourth set of ultra tasks requests that players defeat two Team GO Rocket Grunts to win a dragon scale. If players make two great throws, they will also gain another 1,500 experience points. Players who can also catch eight different species of Pokemon will receive seven great balls. The rewards for completing all of this is one thousand stardust pieces, an Exeggutor, and a silver pinap berry.
For the fifth and final set of rewards, players have to claim three different rewards to win 7,500 total experience points. Players who do that will receive the final award of one thousand stardust pieces, another Deino, and a silver pinap berry.
Hopefully, this guide helps players get ready for the week ahead of them. It is fantastic that Niantic is holding itself accountable and making up for its fan’s grievances.
