Remnant: From the Ashes‘ brand new DLC, which is dubbed Subject 2923, has just been released, and it adds a variety of bosses, quests, and more to Gunfire Games’ popular action RPG. Tackling this DLC content will provide players with new and powerful gear, which will in turn help them in their efforts to put an end to the Root. However, before fans can access this new content they will first need to know how to start the Subject 2923 DLC, and this guide is here to provide assistance with exactly that.
To put things simply, players can access the Remnant: From the Ashes Subject 2923 DLC by interacting with the red World Stone in Ward 13, which fans that have started a new campaign before will be quite familiar with, and selecting “Reroll Campaign.” Doing this will put the option to start Subject 2923 directly to the right of the original campaign, and players will be able to set their preferred difficulty after selecting the DLC campaign from here.
To note, the fact that Subject 2923 exists as its own separate campaign means that players can technically play it without ever completing the game’s standard campaign. While this may not be something that a great number of fans will want to do, players that have recently picked up Remnant: From the Ashes for free from the Epic Games Store and wish to jump directly into the newest content do have that option available to them.
This, of course, assumes that the player has purchased and downloaded Remnant: From the Ashes‘ Subject 2923 DLC, as this is not a free update to the title. Indeed, fans that want to experience this new DLC for themselves will need to buy it for $9.99, and that can be done through Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, or the Microsoft Store depending on what platform the player owns the base game on. That said, fans do not need to own Remnant: From the Ashes’ Swamps of Corsus DLC, which released back in April, to play Subject 2923.
While Subject 2923 is confirmed to be the final DLC for the title, fans may be happy to learn that Gunfire Games has recently indicated that a sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes is “possible.” If a sequel is to come in the future, though, it is undoubtedly quite a ways off, and there is thus certainly no rush for players to complete Subject 2923.
