Fall Guys is another victim of Steam users who abuse the platform’s Family Sharing feature.
Though it is a massively popular game, Fall Guys does not quite have the cheating epidemic other hot games suffer. Cheaters do exist, however. As bizarre of an idea as it does to cheat in a casual game about playing some weird physical mini-games, some people nonetheless have.
In response, developer Mediatonic has been working behind the scenes on a few solutions. As it stands, when a cheater is detected, they need to first finish the show (mini-game) being played before they’re kicked out.
The developer is working to expedite this process in order to remove them from the game as soon as they’re detected.
Dealing with cheaters is a top priority for us
At the moment, when a cheater is detected, they are able to finish the current show before being blocked
We are going to start taking more immediate action soon
As mentioned before: It isn’t necessary to manually report cheaters

In the meantime, Mediatonic has disabled Steam Family Sharing with Fall Guys for now. According to the developer, bad faith actors used the feature to circumvent bans by essentially creating new Steam accounts and sharing their library of games with them.
You may recall that in 2018, PUBG developers had to follow a similar route after Family Sharing abusers relied on the same trick to cheat in that game.
We discovered cheaters were using Family-Sharing to get around our banning system on Steam by creating new accounts and sharing with themselves, so we’ve unfortunately had to disable that for now.
It should massively help with the cheating issues though!

In other Fall Guys news, the game has already spawned fan mods in Skyrim and Resident Evil 3, and more are likely on the way.
