While Fall Guys isn’t an overly competitive game, there are still players who want to win the mini games by any means necessary. However, this makes for a good laugh when some hardcore players who opt to cheat can’t make it on to the next round, especially when there is a Twitch streamer broadcasting the moment.
Since the game’s release a month ago, Fall Guys has become incredibly popular, and big names such as Ninja and Mr Beast have donated a lot of money to charity because of the game’s impact. Many have taken to streaming the game online, which has lead to some pretty funny moments being captured for viewers’ entertainment.
Shroud is one of the Twitch streamers who has taken to playing the game on his channel. During a round on the Gate Crash map, Shroud noticed a player who wasn’t moving the same way as the others who were trying to get to the finish line. Shroud had already qualified to move on to the next round, and so he had the time to survey the competition and watch this one player. The Fall Guys cheater seemed to zoom towards the finish line like they were flying. However, the high speed didn’t keep them from tripping up right before the finish line, and because of this, the cheater was unable to move on.
When Shroud realized that this player who resorted to hacks couldn’t even make it to the next round by cheating, he burst out laughing on camera. Fall Guys is such a lighthearted game that cheating to get to the top of the mini games seems ridiculous in and of itself, and when a cheater can’t even beat other gamers who are playing it as intended, it is funny to see justice served. Usually, players who use hacks can complete the mini games easily, but this player seems to have gotten the karma that was coming to him captured live on Twitch.
Fall Guys has created a fun atmosphere for many gamers, and while the game is currently just available on PS4 and PC, its still got quite a large fanbase for a game that has only been out for a month. As Mediatonic adds new costumes for the characters and continues to create crossovers with other game franchises, the game will likely grow even more popular with players. Hopefully the number of cheaters will not grow along with the game’s success.
