Throughout Tell Me Why, players can collect figurines based on the stories that twins Alyson and Tyler told each other and enacted when they were children. Chapter 2 gives the player new opportunities to get more pieces of the twins’ childhood as the story progresses. With chapter two come five potential links to the past while delving further into the mystery that the game has to offer. This article contains spoilers for Tell Me Why.
The first chapter of Tell Me Why gave players a few collectibles such as the Mad Hunter, as Alyson and Tyler try to piece together the circumstances around their mother’s death ten years ago. With memories and these special collectibles paving the way, these characters will have a trip down memory lane that will overturn what they thought they knew about the incident.
As the player explores the house as Alyson, Tyler will be cleaning under the sink. While he is doing this, the player should move to the living room and look under the table that’s there. Stuck to the surface with what Alyson comments appears to be gum is the frog figurine.The Stalwart Moose
Back in the Delos Crossing police station, players can find the next figurine while playing as Tyler. While snooping around Eddy’s office, Tyler can poke around in his desk drawers. In left drawer of the desk, players can find the moose figurine and add that to the collection.
Continuing on in the game as Tyler, follow Michael into the storage room. There are a lot of different items on the shelves, and while players are counting up the various goods for him, they can move over to the area with couches and a fridge. On a bookcase to the left of the fridge, players can find the muskrat figurine.
After the general store, the player moves to the cemetery where Mary-Ann, Tyler and Alyson’s mother, is laid to rest. As Tyler, the player can find the next figurine in the second section of the cemetery. Behind a grave marker for a person named Carol Brown, players can discover the beaver figurine.
After Alyson and Tyler confront Tessa, they return to the family house, where they are greeted by the barn being on fire and a mysterious figure. Alyson will put out the fire, and the player will enter the barn as Tyler to assess the damage. Walk past Alyson into the back part of the shed, and in the bottom cupboard on the floor, the player can find the Moon Hack.
The collectibles give players an Xbox achievement for collecting them all and bringing the story that Dontnod Entertainment has put together for players as they attempt to solve the mystery.
Chapter One and Chapter Two of Tell Me Why are out now for PC and Xbox One. Chapter Three will release on September 10th.
