Porting Doom to things has become something of a meme – from predictable tech like Zune devices and iPods to more unexpected devices (like a fridge), there’s a rich history in players trying to run Doom on anything with a motherboard.
The most recent experiment, though, lands John Romero’s brutal shooter on a pregnancy test.
The programmer behind this experimental project, Foone, is funded by a Patreon and has been publishing their exploits to Twitter. Recent videos show off the classic game running on a standard home pregnancy test, controlled via an external keyboard.
Yesterday I had a lot of retweets and reddit posts and such for playing Doom on a pregnancy test.
But as I explained then, it wasn’t really PLAYING on a pregnancy test, it was just a video being played back, not an interactive game.Well, now it is. It’s Pregnancy Test Doom! pic.twitter.com/Nrjyq07EVv

The game runs in a tiny 128×32 pixel display and if you squint, you can just about make out what’s going on in the little monitor.
If that’s not enough to satiate your appetite for games running on tech they weren’t designed for, fret not: Foone also managed to get the intro to Skyrim working on one of the devices.
If you want to port Skyrim or Doom to your own pregnancy tests, you shouldn’t have to wait too much longer; Foone plans to post how-to guides to the process once they figure out how to run more stable versions of the games.
Just bear in mind you’re going to have to do some hardware modding in order to get the tests to play the iconic games.
