Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2: How to Bluntslide the Awning in Philadelphia

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has made a triumphant return to what made the original games so special. The game features lots of challenges, the ability to do outrageous combos in two minutes, and of course memorable music reflective of skating culture. As a result of all these elements, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has been critically acclaimed and many fans are enjoying the remake. However, newcomers and those who have not played the title for a while have found issues when doing some challenges.

There are many maps and challenges in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater that require skill and thought. However, other locations offer challenges because of their simplicity. The Philadelphia map in the game is filled with challenges but many have struggled with the task that reads “Bluntslide the Awning in Philadelphia.” The trick is pretty simple to perform compared to some other available moves as is finding the location but the Bluntslide is not listed in the trick list in the game. Fortunately, it won’t be too difficult for players to remember.

The Bluntslide is achieved by pressing down twice and then using the grind button in quick succession. This trick can be done on several surfaces and is a handy grind to remember. To do this trick on the awning players simply need to head past the fountain and to the awning which is shaped like a right angle. Players simply need to grind the first edge while doing the Bluntslide and land the trick to complete the challenge. The process is simple, but, understandably, players have struggled to remember the trick that isn’t essential in most challenges that feature in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has plenty of secrets to be discovered but players have been surprised by the mystery around the Bluntslide. However, with this information and some practice players should be able to tackle this challenge and implement the trick with ease. It will be interesting to see if the game updates its trick list in the coming weeks so players can do this challenge without research. With that said, some players will find the trick naturally by experimenting with the controls.

Players will likely enjoy experimenting with the tricks in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 for some time and with this addition, they should be able to do every combo imaginable. However, to get to the bigger scores some practice and patience are probably required.
