After being teased for well over a year, it’s a little hard to believe that in just two months time, consumers will finally be able to get their hands on the Xbox Series X. This is a console that many in the gaming community have been looking forward to for quite some time, though, it seems the Xbox Series X is in much higher demand than some fans may have initially realized.
Ever since Microsoft revealed the Xbox Series X at The Game Awards last year, many have been excited for the release of the console, as well as whatever exclusive games end up on the platform. However, with the release of the console just a couple of months away, one retail outlet predicts that once the pre-orders go live, the consoles in-stock will sell out quickly.
In a recent blog post made by Best Buy Canada, the company states that the Xbox Series X will be available for pre-order on September 22, just ten days away. Though, the company also stated that stock was rather limited and is expected to sell out quite quickly. In addition to the Series X, the Xbox Series S will also be available for pre-order.
September 22 is still a long way off from the console’s official release date in early November, so the stock might be replenished sometime before then. However, for those who want to guarantee a console purchase, Best Buy urged consumers to make sure that their billing and shipping information was up to date before the pre-order date.
In any case, it is nice to know that pre-orders will be available for purchase relatively soon. With the official price of both the Series X and Series S recently unveiled as well, it seems that gaming enthusiasts have all of the relevant information they need. All that remains now is to see how each console works from a consumer’s perspective.
For how long both the Xbox Series X and its running mate, the PS5, have been teased, it’s almost surreal knowing that soon players will be able to enjoy both consoles and judge for themselves which one they prefer. If Best Buy’s projections are true, then gaming enthusiasts will have to act fast if they want a unit slated specifically for them. This could also apply to competing retail outlets as well in terms of the availability of pre-orders.
The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is set to launch on November 10th, 2020.
