Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Details You Missed About Lemoyne

Red Dead Redemption II is home to some interesting locations. Locations range from the desert of New Austin to the mountains of The Grizzlies. One region in the game is based on Louisiana — called Lemoyne. Lemoyne is caught up in a feud between the Braithwaite and the Gray families, while also being the home of the Lemoyne Raiders.

Players are sure to come across a few wild encounters they might not be expecting as they travel through Lemoyne. By reading notes found around the world, players are also able to learn more about the surrounding area. Some encounters might appear normal, while others might appear supernatural.

10 Sisika Is Located In Lemoyne

Players might assume Sisika Prison is located on its own, but it is actually located inside the region of Lemoyne. Sisika plays a small role in the game, having players break John Marston out of the prison. It is also where the Red Dead Online character is kept after being arrested.

Players are also able to find a legendary fish on the island. Other than these events, the prison does not offer much. Being caught by guards will result in a shootout.

9 Ghost Found In Swamp

When the player first gets to Shady Belle with the gang, Swanson can be heard talking about a ghost woman in the swamps. This ghost can actually be found by traveling through the swamps of Bayou Nwa at night. The weeping of a woman can be heard, along with a translucent figure.

Players can find the ghost’s grave at Shady Belle, revealing the ghost to be Agnes Dowd. It is learned she was 19 years old when she committed suicide. Listening to the ghost reveals Agnes’ mother would not let her marry a man, causing Agnes to hang herself.

8 Flag Features Saint Denis

Like most regions in Red Dead Redemption II, Lemoyne has its own unique flag. The flag features a headless figure on it, who is the historical Saint Denis. This is also the same man the city of Saint Denis is named after.

Saint Denis is also the patron saint of Paris. The story is that Saint Denis was decapitated, but he picked up his head and walked for a few miles before he collapsed. It is interesting to see the figure make an appearance in the game, even if it is on a flag.

7 Home To ‘Face Rock’ Tourist Attraction

Players are able to find a flyer for a location in Lemoyne called the ‘Face Rock’. Going to the location will reveal a rock that, at the right angle, looks like it has a face on it. The flyer for this attraction can be found in most train stations around the game.

It would seem that Lemoyne is using this as a way to get tourists. It is located in Scarlett Meadows to the west of Ringneck Creek. It is also the location for a treasure, being part of the Poisonous Trail treasure maps.

6 Home To Civil War Battlefield

Players are able to locate the remains of a Civil War battlefield at Bolger Glade. Trenches and cannons litter the area, letting players see the aftermath. A skeleton of a Confederate soldier can also be found close by, bayonetted to a tree.

On a stormy night, players can hear the ghostly whispers of the battle. It is revealed that the heroic Quincy T. Harris in the game was actually a coward. He snuck away from the battle, with the Confederates ultimately losing the battle.

5 Grave Of Famous Confederate General Can Be Found

Speaking of Quincy T. Harris, his grave can be found in Saint Denis. He has a big grave marker, revealing other members of his family as well. It should be noted his grave mentions he fought bravely in the Battle of Scarlett Meadows.

By going to the Bolger Glade battlefield on a stormy night, players can learn Harris ran away from his command and let his men die. Not everyone thinks he is brave, as his statue in Saint Denis can be seen with the word ‘COWARD’ painted on it.

4 Most Diverse Region Of Game

Lemoyne is the most diverse region out of anywhere in the game. French, Italian, Chinese, Cajun, and many other groups of people can be found in the area. While it is mostly in Saint Denis this diversity can be found, players can find different groups throughout the region.

Lagras is home to African-Americans, Nite Folk can be found in the swamps, and Gypsies set up camp near Rhodes. This is a reference to Louisiana and New Orleans, which are both diverse in real life.

3 Can Find Cabin Relating To Strange Man

Players are able to find a mysterious cabin in the swamps of Lemoyne. The location is called Bayall Edge and has references to the Strange Man. A painting will slowly be finished each time the player visits, with the last time revealing the man in a mirror.

References to the player’s actions can also be found. Depending on if the player kills or saves the man they chase in Valentine, a poem in the cabin will change. Maybe the Strange Man took an interest in John when he came to the cabin?

2 St. Denis Home Of One Of Two Uniformed Police Forces

In Red Dead Redemption II, Saint Denis is one of only two places to have a uniformed police force. The other location is Blackwater in West Elizabeth. The officers in Saint Denis wear a blue uniform and patrol the streets to look for criminals.

This is different from other areas in the game, which rely on marshals, deputies, and bounty hunters. It shows just how different Saint Denis is from the rest of the Wild West, being a more civilized city.

1 Vampire Found In Saint Denis

A vampire can be found lurking in the alleys of Saint Denis. By finding 5 messages scribbled on the walls around the city, players are able to locate the vampire for themselves. When found, the vampire will be drinking from a victim.

The vampire is unique, as it can kill the player in one stab. Players who kill the vampire are able to get a unique knife and rid Saint Denis of a threat.
