Season 4 of Fortnite seems to have been a treat for players that love Marvel Comics. This season of the ever-popular battle royale has seen several additions to the game from various Marvel locales, as well as heroes and villains like Doctor Doom being added as bosses that give players access to powerful new abilities. Now, Wolverine has been added as the latest of these bosses, which has caused many players to wonder just how strong Weapon X is.
Taking down Wolverine in the latest Fortnite update is no easy matter, which makes sense considering the hero’s abilities and history from the comics. Players will first need to make their way to Weeping Woods in order to find Wolverine. However, the legendary X-Men member may be tricky to pinpoint, as he doesn’t spawn at a specific location within the Woods.
That said, finding Wolverine within the Weeping Woods is likely the easiest part of fighting him. Not only is Logan particularly lethal in close-range combat, he is incredibly tough to kill. With around 1,000 health and a shield, players will need to thoroughly think through their strategy before they decide to take him on.
These efforts won’t go unrewarded for the players that do manage to defeat Weapon X, though. Wolverine will drop a Mythic ability, giving players his iconic claws. Players equipped with Wolverine’s claws have several unique melee combos, along with a lunge attack and dodge, which all seem consistent with a leak that occurred in August revealing several superhero abilities.
Season 4 of Fortnite seems to be all about Marvel fan service, with several additions that should make any fan excited. The map changes on a weekly basis with new places of interest being added such as the Panther Monument from Black Panther. The game also seems dedicated to bringing Marvel character skins to the game, with one of the latest being the vampire hunter Blade.
Despite all of the dedication to Marvel that Fortnite has put on display in Season 4, there are some players not getting to enjoy it. Tensions between Epic and Apple have continued to rise over the past several weeks, and now with the release of iOS 14 some players are reporting that Fortnite is being deleted from their iPhones. So. while many gamers are getting to feel the heroic might of becoming Wolverine, others have been left in the dust.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
