Saints Row: 10 Of The Silliest Weapons In The Series | Game Rant

The Saints Row series has changed from semi-serious to being a completely different series altogether. At one time it was called a clone of the Grand Theft Auto series, but Saints Row has become very different. One aspect that helped Saints Row change was the inclusion of ridiculous weapons.

Some of these weapons are somewhat realistic, such as having shock paddles that can be used against enemies; however, others are more ridiculous and emphasize the franchise’s cartoonish mayhem. No matter which weapon the player chooses to use on missions, they are sure to find one they fall in love with.

10 Apoca-Fist

The Apoca-Fists can be found in Saints Row: The Third after completing the mission Murderbrawl XXXI. Players will get this weapon if they kill Killbane during the mission. The Apoca-Fists appear as oversized versions of Killbane’s hands, allowing the player to use the wrestler’s powers.

Punching an enemy with the fists will cause them to explode into a gory mess. The weapon also appears as a reskin in Team Fortress 2 for any player that pre-ordered Saints Row: The Third on Steam.

9 Shock Paddles

Shock Paddles are used by the paramedics in Saints Row 2 to revive anyone who got in the player’s way. They can also be used by the player as a weapon. It takes about three shocks to eliminate police and gang members, but it takes less to take out any citizen of Stilwater.

The fun part about this weapon is the player can use it to revive any target that they killed. It can also be used to revive teammates who are downed near the player. It is unique to find a weapon that can bring death and bring life.

8 Shark-O-Matic

The Shark-O-Matic can be found in Saints Row: The Third in the Shark Attack Pack DLC. It shoots chum all over a target, making a shark attack the unfortunate victim. The best part of this whole thing is that the shark will attack the target from anywhere.

Seeing a shark appear out of concrete and eat a person whole is very entertaining to watch. The weapon does not work against Brutes, as they are too big for the shark to attack.

7 Tiny Pistol

This weapon can be found in a secret basement underneath Let’s Pretend in Saints Row IV. The player can access the basement by shooting the “Employee’s Only” door. The Tiny Pistol does not need ammo, instead only needing to be charged.

The pistol is also an instant-hit weapon, meaning it is easy to hit targets with and is very accurate. The only downsides to this weapon are the slow recharge rate, the slow fire rate, and the knockback effect it has.

6 Tentacle Bat

The tentacle bat can be found in Saints Row IV, which is very fitting for a game about aliens. It is similar to a regular baseball bat, except it is the tentacle of an alien. It also wobbles around as the player runs.

It is unlocked after completing Kinzie’s Customization quest. It can be upgraded and have its color changed. It also has an ultimate upgrade, which can be used to crush cars.

5 Dubstep Gun

The Dubstep Gun is found in Saints Row IV and requires a charge to be fired. The songs being played by the gun can also be changed depending on the skin the player uses. More songs are also available in the Dubstep Gun (Remix) Pack and the How the Saints Save Christmas DLC.

The weapon causes people to dance and vehicles to bounce up in the air. Players are able to make their own dance party in the streets of Steelport.

4 Mollusk Launcher

The Mollusk Launcher was included in the Funtime! Pack for Saints Row: The Third. Players can use the launcher to shoot octopi at enemies and then detonate them. The best part is that the octopi stick to the enemies. The weapon can also be used to take control of enemies, causing them to fight for the player.

The Mollusk Launcher cannot be used against Brutes, but the Brutes can still be damaged by the octopus’ explosion. The weapon is also weaker than the RPG and Grenade Launcher.

3 Swarmitron

The Swarmitron was introduced to Saints Row: The Third in The Trouble With Clones DLC. This weapon is unique, as the ammo is live bees. It was designed by an ally of the player to protect Pierce from large crowds of fans. Sadly, it can only be used in one mission.

The weapon is also most likely not going to be lethal, instead only being used to chase off fans. Hopefully, nobody in the crowd is allergic to bees.

2 Plunger Gun

The Plunger Gun is introduced to Saints Row IV in the Grass Roots Pack. This weapon does exactly what its name suggests – it shoots a toilet plunger at enemies. The plunger sticks to the enemy and explodes, damaging them.

It might not do a lot of damage, but it is humorous to see a toilet plunger stuck to an enemy for a few seconds. By upgrading the weapon all the way, gas will come off of the plunger, killing multiple enemies.

1 Black Hole Launcher

The Black Hole Launcher is exactly what it sounds like – a gun that launches black holes at enemies. It is found in Saints Row IV and sucks enemies into the black hole. It does not kill Wardens and Marauders instantly, but it still damages them.

By completing missions, the player is able to upgrade the Black Hole Gun, such as more ammo and a recharge upgrade. The weapon is extremely effective against enemies and even vehicles. Using this weapon is sure to give players a huge advantage.
