A brand new tournament is on the way for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Players from all over North America can compete for glory and for 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Coins, which is equivalent to $25 eShop credits.
The Mario Kart North American Open October 2020 will run from October 9 through October 11, from 12pm PT to 6pm PT every day. Players from US, Canada, and Mexico can all participate in the tournament, and every day the top eight eligible racers will be rewarded with the 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Coins.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to sell extremely well, as it has maintained the top spot in the most purchased Nintendo Switch title. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been biting at its heels, but the kart racer has left the like of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in its dust.
