Strange Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 Bug Flips the World Sideways

Season 6 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare kicked off earlier this week and while fans now have access to all sorts of brand new content, the update also added numerous bugs back into the online experience. While Infinity Ward has managed to fix a number of lingering issues in addition to banning nearly 20,000 cheaters, players have been facing off with new exploits tied to the subway system and other bugs impacting the popular game mode. One truly bizarre issue will likely leave players tilted.

A player known as Venomx24 on the Call of Duty: Warzone subReddit reported a new issue that drastically impacted their vision during a match. The issues seems to have started innocently enough after the player flipped the vehicle they were driving. Unfortunately, the angle of how they crashed seems to have caused their point of view to remain stuck in that position.

After getting out of the flipped vehicle, the player’s screen remains tilted as they move through Verdansk. Unfortunately, nearly half of the screen appears to be the ground, not only limiting their field of vision but making the game overly difficult and nearly unplayable. What the video didn’t show is that the awkward camera angle also inverted the players aim, so attempting to point up would cause the weapon to shift to the upper right portion of the screen instead.

Naturally, the post led to a rash of jokes about being tilted at seeing this. However, the fact remains that it’s unclear if simply flipping the vehicle was the direct cause of this bug or if something else happened at the same time. Infinity Ward has yet to address this issue publicly as well as many of the other recently discovered problems, so for now, players should do their best to drive carefully and avoid flipping any vehicles.

While the game seemingly has many issues to work out, Infinity Ward and Raven Software appear to be moving forward with a special Halloween Event later this month. While players were teased about a Haunting of Verdansk event on October 20, it appears some of the ghosts and goblins have started to haunt the map a bit earlier. Over near the Lumber camp, players have started hearing the disembodied laughter of a small girl. Many believe this is the character Samantha, a Zombies character that has haunted numerous Call of Duty titles in the past. Either way, it appears to be a tease for what’s coming in a few weeks.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
