Animal Crossing: New Horizons players recently gained access to special items and features in the game’s Halloween update. With all the new content provided, players have begun decorating their islands for the spookiest holiday of the year.
Those who want more of a Halloween-themed island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons might want to use designs inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. Since the movie remains a classic for both Halloween and Christmas, some of these designs can later be used for when Christmas comes around as well.
All of these designs have been lovingly made by Animal Crossing: New Horizons players that wanted to share their work with other players. Players should note that a Nintendo Switch Online account, as well as an internet connection, is required to download design codes from the Able Sisters’ kiosk.
These clothing design codes can be used to dress up as favorite characters from Nightmare Before Christmas or as displays on mannequins. Either way, these codes are great to use when making the island just a little bit more spooky.
Many of the patterns made by users can be used as additional decorations when making a Halloween Town out of players’ islands. They can be placed on the ground, used as flooring or wallpaper in houses, or even placed on furniture via DIY customization.
Patterns that require QR codes to be scanned can be placed in Animal Crossing: New Horizons via players’ smartphones while using the Nintendo Switch Online app.
Those who want to bring the music of the movie to their islands can use this to make the opening number their town tune.
While Halloween and the events surrounding it will only be around for a limited time, these designs can remain on players’ islands all year round. Players who happen to be Tim Burton fans or just fans of Nightmare Before Christmas will likely find a lot of use for these patterns around their islands.
As long as players have an active Nintendo Switch Online account, there is no real limit to how many of these codes that players can download. The only thing to keep in mind is the amount of patterns the player can store at once. If a pattern is overwritten, any displays of the pattern out on the player’s island will change to reflect the new pattern in the slot.
Halloween will be on October 31st as with every year, so players wanting to get their islands as spooky as possible should spend the upcoming days preparing.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
