Fall Guys: Tips to Hit Rank 40 Before Season 2 Starts | Game Rant

Fall Guys season 2 is almost here, but many fans still have some unfinished business with the first season’s pass. Thankfully, Mediatonic extended season 1 by a few days, so instead of ending on October 6th like it was originally meant to, season 1 will last until October 8th. It’s not much, but this does give fans a few more days to try and get to level 40 on their season pass and unlock some of the cool cosmetics that go along with that. Those struggling to rise in the ranks should make use of these tips in order to get the most out of the time they have left.

Fall Guys season 2 will introduce a brand new season pass, giving players the chance to start back over at rank 1 and work their way up. It’s not yet been confirmed but the second pass will probably also have 40 levels and take a similar amount of work to unlock everything on it. Once season 2 starts, it is believed that players will no longer be able to level up their season 1 passes, meaning there are only a few days left to do that. Some of the rewards on the season 1 pass are pretty cool, so players would be remiss not to try and hit level 40.

The first thing players should know is that from now until the start of season 2 on October 8th, Fall Guys is offering double fame to help players fill out their season pass. Players will be able to level up their passes twice as fast during the next couple days, making now the best time to jump into a match and grind some fame out. Players simply need to log in and compete in a show; their fame rewards will automatically be doubled at the end of the match.

This should make hitting rank 40 a lot easier, and at the very least help players reach milestones on the season pass. Though each player has different priorities, it would be a good idea to try and hit rank 27 for the Night Sky color, or even go as far as rank 32 for the extra crowns. Playing shows in Fall Guys is the only way to earn fame for the season pass, but there are some things players should know that will help them earn as much fame as possible during each show, hopefully speeding up the long grind to level 40.

Fame is earned simply by completing events in Fall Guys. The further the player makes it into the round and the better they do in each round, the more fame they will get at the end of the episode. This general rule should encourage players to simply do their best, but knowing exactly which rounds give the most fame can be helpful as well when grinding out the season pass. Moving on, it’s important to know that Fall Guys rounds are divided into categories: race, team, survival, logic, hunt, and final.

The rounds that provide the most fame are of course the final rounds. Winning a final round gives players a crown and an impressive 203 fame, but players don’t get any extra fame for making it to the final round. Other than this, the next best way to get fame is by winning races. Getting first place in a race provides the player with 63 fame, but managing to make it into the top 20% is also good as it rewards 45 fame. Team games are actually great for fame as well if the player’s team wins, as both the gold and silver medal award 45 fame. This means the main priority in a team game should simply be qualifying. Survival and Logic games only provide 28 fame, but they tend to be easier to win.

Getting to level 40 in Fall Guys requires a grand total of 35,000 experience. While this may seem like a lot, it’s important to note that the amount required for each level increases as the player progresses through the pass. For example, getting from rank 1 fame to rank 2 fame only requires the player to earn 160 Fame, but going from rank 39 to rank 40 requires 3500 fame. This is important as players need to set their own personal goal for the season pass.

For some players, the rewards past tier 37 aren’t super impressive, and if that’s the case things will be a lot easier. Those last three levels require a total of 9,000 fame to unlock, that’s about 25% of the experience for the entire pass. With double experience, getting to 26,000 fame shouldn’t be too difficult, but it will take some time. If players manage to hone their skills at specific, high value rounds like races, they’ll have a much easier time getting there as well. Setting a personal goal is also good as it will help the player feel satisfied even if they didn’t reach level 40.

Having this knowledge can help players earn enough fame to max out their season passes, but ultimately it will be up to each player to participate in enough games. There are a few minor things that are important when farming fame in Fall Guys that players need to keep in mind, though. For example, if the player quits out during the middle of a match or after qualifying from a round, they won’t receive any fame. Instead, it’s important wait until they are disqualified to quit, as this will reward the player the fame they earned.

Finally, this double fame event is likely to bring back a lot of players that haven’t played in a while. These players are likely to be a little rusty, meaning some lobbies may not be quite as competitive as they have been in recent weeks. This makes the next couple days the perfect time to try and win crowns and level up the season pass before Season 2 starts and introduces brand new levels, costumes, and a new season pass.

Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
