In about a month from now, Ubisoft is releasing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which is the upcoming next-installment to the popular action-adventure franchise, Assassin’s Creed. Now, for those players who still haven’t played 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey would be happy to know that the game is currently discounted for the PS4 as part of the PlayStation Store’s weekly deals.
At the moment, players can get Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for the PS4 for $14.99 or 75% off its original price of $59.99. To the uninitiated, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest entry in the franchise and revolving around a fictional history that took place during the Peloponnesian War, set in 431 BC. Shortly after its release, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey received positive reviews from both players and critics due to its massive open-world environment, immersive story, and engaging gameplay.
Additionally, the PlayStation Store is also offering the Gold Edition of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in its weekly deals. This special edition of the game is currently priced at $19.99, which is 80% off its original price of $99.99. Apart from the base game, the Gold Edition includes the season pass, which adds two stories across six episodes alongside Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered that features 4K and HDR support. Of course, players who are looking for more bang for their buck should definitely purchase the Gold Edition given the inclusion of the season pass and Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered for just $5 more.

Meanwhile, it appears that the hype for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is increasing day by day as the game nears its release date in November. Although the next-installment is set to release on current-gen consoles, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also launch for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Several days ago, it has been revealed that the next-generation versions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 frames-per-second in 4K resolution, which exceeded previous expectations that the game would only run at 30fps.
Additionally, the next-gen versions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also take advantage of the SSD’s on next-gen consoles which will allow the game to run with near-instant loading times and utilize the Tempest Engine for 3D sounds. Of course, while specs of other next-generation games are still unknown, it is expected that 4K at 60fps will be the standard benchmark for most titles in console gaming. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on November 10 for current-gen consoles, PC, and the Xbox Series X, while players on the PS5 would have to wait until November 12th.
