Pokemon GO trainers have a very busy couple of weeks this October. In addition to the usual Community Day and Spotlight Hours, there was also a Fashion Week event, Limited Meowth Research, and the big Halloween celebration is right around the corner. In addition to all of the rotating events, there is also a lengthy list of Battle Raid bosses to challenge throughout the month.
Some of the Pokemon GO bosses are rotating in and out as events come and go, but the current list contains some pretty tempting options. In addition to the recent arrival of Giratina Origin Forme at the 5-star tier, there is also a very tempting list of powerful options in the Mega Raid category.
The one and three-star tiers have some decent options as well, especially for shiny hunters, but the Mega and Legendary tiers are likely where most repeat raiders are going to be burning through their passes this month. The full list of available raid bosses is likely to change in a big way once the Halloween festivities get started, so players who are interested in this list of bosses should get to as quickly as possible.
Keep in mind that the following list of Battle Raid bosses is likely to change as events start and stop throughout the coming weeks…
Vulpix
Tangela
Pineco
Timburr
Ferroseed
Gloom
Pinsir
Noctowl
Sudowoodo
Breloom
Mega Venusaur
Mega CharizardX
Mega CharizardY
Mega Blastoise
Mega Pidgeot
Mega Houndoom
Moltres
Giratina (Origin Forme)
The combination of Mega Houndoom and Giratina is a pretty tempting one and many players who have extra passes to burn may want to earn enough Mega Houndoom resources to use the Mega evolution when it’s time to battle Giratina. Mega Houndoom is one of the best Giratina Origin Forme counters available in the current PoGO metagame, so expect it to be a popular choice.
Niantic has already teased some of the Battle Raid changes that will be arriving when the Halloween event arrives, so players should start preparing to see some of the spotlight likely shift to Mega Gengar in the near future. For now, Battle Raiders should have plenty to keep themselves busy for the next few weeks until the upcoming events kick off and shake up the October battle raid lineup.
For now, Pokemon GO trainers should be able to head out into the world (or play from home) and continue catching the best Unova Pokemon in the game and getting closer to that complete Pokedex. Check back for more Pokemon GO updates closer to the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
