Fall Guys Teases Great Addition to Boring Mini Game | Game Rant

After only a short time in the spotlight, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout became wildly popular. Since then, some games like Among Us have muscled in on its streaming territory somewhat. Despite that, the game is still popular to get an ESPN documentary greenlit following TimtheTatman.

In some ways, Fall Guys and Among Us compliment each other perfectly. While both can be played by anyone and mastered by the dedicated, they cover different styles of gameplay. Among Us is centered on deduction and careful planning, while Fall Guys is all about concentration, reflex, and energy. Because of this, the most popular stages in Fall Guys tend to be the ones where tension is high throughout. Players enjoy being on the move and on their toes, but that’s not how all the stages operate.

Every player has their preferred stages in Fall Guys, and with a few new ones added in Season 2, some have new favorites. However, there is a general consensus that a few are duds. At the very bottom of the Fall Guys stage tier list is Perfect Match. It plays to none of the strengths of Fall Guys, requiring players to stand around for an arbitrary amount of time with no excitement. After many, many complaints from players, the devs have decided to change Perfect Match a bit during Season 2’s midseason changes.

The new addition to Perfect Match seems both devious and simple: a pair of fast-spinning bars. This is the same obstacle that makes up half of the challenge in Jump Club and Jump Showdown. This is only one of several changes coming in Fall Guys Season 2, but players are skeptical of its impact. One player asked why someone couldn’t simply jump onto the top of the platform in the middle, and the Fall Guys devs didn’t seem to have an answer.

In all likelihood, there will be more changes besides the jump bars. Fall Guys is still experimenting at this point, testing new modes like Gauntlet Showdown and new ideas like this. For now, though, players may simply have to make do with jumping rope on Perfect Match.

On the other hand, it may prove to be more difficult than anticipated. After all, as pointed out by The Undertaker himself, it doesn’t take much to knock the Beans off a cliff. Perhaps Perfect Match will really be a bit closer to perfect with this update.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available on PC and PS4.
