Holiday-themed events can be really fun in online games, especially an MMO such as Warframe. When playing a game for a long time, many players tend to get used to the way things look. The maps all look the same, the enemies becoming routinely dispatched, and the farming becomes repetitive. But when a Holiday event comes around, the most pleasant surprises are often seeing festive decorations where there isn’t normally. Enter “Naberus,” the latest event introduced to Warframe.
This spooky themed festival brings new items and accessories to players and encouraging them to explore the most recent open world Map, the Cambion Drift. In typical Warframe fashion, there’s a lot of stuff to collect, with some items returning from past Halloween events and some fresh additions as well.
To start grinding for this year’s items and to partake in Naberus festivities, players will need to head to the Cambion Drift and talk to the Daughter, who’s dressed up in a festive garb. Daughter is usually this world’s fishing vendor, but for this event, she’ll double as the Naberus Treat vendor as well. Players just need to interact with her and select the Naberus Treats option from the menu, and she’ll display all of the spooky themed items and Warframe Nights of Naberus cosmetics she has to offer.
Everything Daughter sells will cost Mother Tokens which can be obtained by completing bounties for Warframe‘s Mother, of which there are 3 methods to earn. The first is grabbing the highest ranked bounty and completing as many of those as possible, but for solo players, there are two other options for grinding as many tokens as possible. The first one is the grab the lowest level bounty and running through it as fast as possible which will net the player 18 Mother Tokens, then rinse and repeat.
The second method is starting the level 40 to 60 bounty and completing the first mission which will net players bout 25 Mother Tokens, then returning to the Necralisk to reset the bounty. Players can continuously rinse and repeat this method as well, but these are only advised for solo players through. For non-solo Warframe players, Steel Path bounties (level 100 bounties) will net 150 Mother Tokens upon completion. Steel Path is the highest difficulty available and will require fully modified weapons and Warframes to complete quickly, and Warframes like Mesa and Khora make these bounties much easier as they offer a lot of CC and do tons of damage.
After grinding for a heaping pile of Mother Tokens, head back to Daughter and collect those sweet Naberus Treats. Warframe Weapons parts for Zaws are available, allowing players to craft melee weapons fitted with Viral damage, a highly sought after damage type as of the current meta game. Along with the Zaw parts, there are also two useful Zaw arcanes to earn as well, allowing players to fit their Zaw with some useful enhancements.
A lot of the weapon skins from years past make a return, but this year, the show is stolen by the Spinneret Ephemera, a cosmetic item that adds cobwebs around a player’s Warframe. The creativity to be had with this item is endless thanks to Warframe’s fun customization system. Also available is the Whispering Naberus Mobile, which is a decoration that can be add to the player’s ship, and it talks to the player, telling an old Orokin Folktale about the origin of Naberus. Ultimately, Waframe’s Naberus event is live and will run until November 10, giving ample time for players to grind for all of the Naberus Treats.
Warframe is free-to-play on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
