It’s a new week, which means that Marvel’s Avengers players have a new rotation of challenges and tasks to undertake in the game. Although there is still some concern about shrinking playerbases on PC and other platforms, the devs are opening that the latest update and plans for additional content in the coming months will help draw in new players and bring back some who have temporarily walked away from the game.
One of the recurring tasks in the game that is designed to get players logging in at least once per week is the HARM challenge rotation. Each week there are two sets of HARM challenges (one low PL and one high PL) that players can attempt to complete to earn a comic reward. Although comic rewards aren’t as exciting as powerful gear, they do offer a minor performance perk as Marvel’s Avengers players collect more issues and complete sets.
This week’s challenges bring a few tough modifiers to the war table, but players who take the time to plan ahead and note each modifiers effects should be able to complete the challenge without too much of a struggle. It’s important to analyze what the modifiers are bringing to the table and adjust builds and strategies accordingly before heading into the challenge blind.
Cosmos – Cosmic damage from players is increased
Clash – Melee damage from any source is greatly increased
Resurgence – Enemy health regenerates after a short delay
Maelstrom – All heroics charge at a significantly increased rate. Entering critical health drains all Heroic energy
Cosmos – Cosmic damage from players is increased
Cosmos – Inflict cosmic damage as much as possible.
Clash – Inflict melee damage as much as possible and avoid taking melee damage from any source. Players should master the dodging if they plan to engage targets in melee combat.
Resurgence – Quickly eliminating a single foe as opposed to bouncing around between multiple enemies or trying to control groups with area of effect damage will help make surviving Resurgence easier.
Maelstrom – Keeping Willpower high and utilizing Heroics soon after they’re ready is key to maximizing the benefits of the Maelstrom modifier. Focusing on gear that boosts the Resolve or Valor stats are also effective strategies.
Avengers (1963) #4 (1% Armor)
That should be everything players need to know to get through this week’s HARM challenges. Endgame players are likely more focused on Tachyon Rifts at this point, but the HARM challenges are a nice warm-up for any player to work through once per week as long as new or rare comics are up for grabs as a reward.
Players should check back in the near future for more updates, news, strategy guides, and weekly rotation updates. Until next time, Avengers Assemble!
Marvel’s Avengers is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
