Resident Evil 4 remake team larger than 2 and 3, carefully considering fan feedback – report

New details about the rumoured Resident Evil 4 remake have come to light.

Following the weekend’s news that Capcom is reportedly working on remaking Resident Evil 4, a number of additional details have been shared by a noted leaker.

Dusk Golem, who has been leaking a tonne of Resident Evil details over the past few months, more recently revealing crucial information about Resident Evil 8, has once again returned with some additional information on the Resident Evil 4 remake.

According to them, the team currently working on the game is bigger than the one responsible for the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, and it has spent a longer time prototyping concepts compared to those games.

The game has seemingly been in development for nearly two years already, with support from the Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry 5 teams. Dusk Golem also pointed out that Capcom is paying close attention to player feedback on the remakes of 2 and 3.

More specifically, developer M-Two has been digesting the critical response to Resident Evil 3. Several of the game’s reviews – including our own review – awarded it lower scores compared to 2, owed to a variety of reasons to do with quality and length.

It goes without saying that Capcom has yet to officially announce the remake, let alone reveal any of these details. As Dusk Golem pointed out, the game is over two years away, so some of the specifics could change between now and then.
