Electronic Arts will still present its annual EA Play Live event in 2020.
Unsurprisingly, it won’t be a physical event. This year’s EA Play Live will stream online on June 11 from 4pm PST, and Electronic Arts is promising there will be “world premieres, news and more”.

Electronic Arts first announced EA Play in 2016 as an E3 alternative held in the days running up to the annual event. So far, the company has yet to unveil what can be expected at this year’s EA Play Live beyond its “world premieres” tease but you can expect to hear more the closer we get to the date.
EA Play Live is just the latest streamed games event arriving in the coming weeks and months. Xbox has already announced a third-party showcase for Xbox Series X titles starting May 7, while Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest will span a whopping four months – from May to August. As part of the Summer Game Fest, Steam, Xbox, and other platforms holders will offer access to playable, limited-time demonstrations and trials of select game content.
E3 2020 was originally scheduled to take place from June 9-11, before the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
