AT&T is looking to sell Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment – report

Looks like Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment is up for sale, according to a report.

AT&T is looking to sell Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment according to a CNBC report.

The report states the company is looking to sell its gaming division for $4 billion and that Activision Blizzard, EA, and Take-Two Interactive could be potential buyers.

Warner studios include Rocksteady Studios, NetherRealm, Avalanche Software, Monolith, TT Games, and WB studios in Boston, Montreal, New York, San Diego, and San Francisco and the developers behind the Harry Potter universe (thanks, GI.biz).

This means the purchaser would have access to Warner IPs such as Mortal Kombat, the Arkane series, and Middle-earth titles.

WBIE came as part of a package deal when AT&T acquired Time Waner in 2018.
