PlayStation owners get timed exclusive skins in Marvel’s Avengers

The exclusive content announcements keep coming. As detailed on PlayStation Blog, PS4 and PS5 players will be getting timed exclusive skins and emotes in Marvel’s Avengers. These will include content for the six launch heroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow and Kamala Khan.

These packs will be exclusive to PlayStation users for 30 days. There will also be special community challenges that only PlayStation users can undergo. Finally, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting a free bundle with a new outfit, nameplate and 100 credits for each hero that is added to the game post-launch. Hawkeye is the first hero coming after the game releases.

Yesterday, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics revealed that Marvel’s Avengers will be adding Spider-Man exclusively on PlayStation platforms at some point in 2021. The beta for Marvel’s Avengers begins on August 7 for anyone who preordered the game on PS4, opening to everyone on August 27.

Marvel’s Avengers is set to release on PS4, PC and Xbox on September 4. Players on PS4 or Xbox One will get a free upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X version when the next-generation consoles are released.
