The Unova Week event in Pokemon GO is currently active for all players globally. This event is focused on bringing over more Pokemon that were introduced in Pokemon‘s fifth generation as well as make it easier for players to find them while playing.
Emolga is one of the rarer Pokemon that some lucky players may find in Pokemon GO. It is a dual electric and flying-type Pokemon that is heavily inspired by the real world’s flying squirrel. While it isn’t a strong Pokemon by any means, some players may want it for its cute looks or Pokedex completion.
There isn’t a real way to guarantee encountering even a single Emolga, but there are ways to increase the odds, especially during Unova Week. Here is how to do exactly that.
During Unova Week, the best way to increase the odds of finding an Emolga is to always have an active incense while playing. This will make it far more likely for an Emolga to appear. However, it is possible to hatch an Emolga from an egg.
Emolga can only be hatched from 7 km eggs which can only be received from gifts sent by friends. However, other Pokemon that appear in 7 km eggs include:
- Pidove
- Woobat
- Sewaddle
- Cottonee
- Darumaka
- Minccino
Trainers should note that Emolga does not evolve into any other Pokemon and has the max CP of 1633. The moveset for Emolga that has the highest possible damage per second has Quick Attack for its fast move and Discharge for its charge move.
Even if trainers hatch as many eggs as they can and only walk around with an incense active, they still might not encounter Emolga at all. Many players have noticed that Emolga is a very rare spawn overall, so luck is going to be the biggest factor for many players.
If players can’t find Emolga during Unova Week, it isn’t really anything to sweat about due to it not being the most useful in battle. However, players that are very attached to the little flying squirrel Pokemon might be able to find it at some point or another during the event if they really spend a lot of time looking for it. Unova Week will be ending on August 21st, 2020 at 4:00 pm in players’ local times. If players truly want this Pokemon, this event will be one of the best times to catch it for quite a long time.
