With the ciphers time-locked and information moving slowly, the Call of Duty puzzle hunt is hitting its “hump day.”

Video three, now labeled V.1, took fans into the years of 1972 – 1973. This is historically known as the Nixon era and borders around the turning point in the Vietnam war. There is clear footage leading up to Nixon being sworn int and then the beginning of the Watergate scandal. Nixon’s administration is notoriously dipped in controversy making it a perfect fact to focus on for a Black Ops themed puzzle. A new set of numbers have appeared throughout the videos expanding the growing collection by several additions.

The bunker code that accompanied the video led players to a small shack which held even more strange clues. Although there were new cipher pieces fans noticed a couple other cool hints. A half-built RC car was left on the table, possibly confirming its addition in the game soon, while more minor secrets were scattered across the small shed.

At this point, fans can confirm that the previous videos are being revised with each update. New numbers are appearing which only goes to confuse the fans more as there is still no answer to where these codes are going. As the string of number increases, Streamers and fans alike are stuck simply waiting for the final confirmation reminding fans of the infamous Black Ops quote involving Mason and a stream of numbers.

Each location seems to bring new pieces to the Call of Duty history puzzle. As players work tirelessly to try and find the infamous reveal, all eyes are on the Streaming community to figure this puzzle out. The evolution continues to be unpredictable while all the answers seem to be kept within history. The one solid piece of advice that Activision has given fans so far, is the statement of “Know your History.” Before traveling for Call of Duty Cold War, players must first understand the implications of the era itself.

Call of Duty 2020 is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software.
