Nintendo Switch gamers looking for something fresh to play during quarantine are in luck, as Indie game publishers and developers QubicGames and Forest Spirits are running a special, limited-time promotion that will let fans download a handful of fun titles for free.
Polish indie-game developer and publisher QubicGames recently partnered with a new brand, Forest Spirits, that produces family-friendly games promoting socially-conscious values in entertainment. QubicGames was originally established in 2004, and has since created over 20 indie titles, many of which are featured on the Nintendo Switch. Even though QubicGames has yet to release a mega-hit like Journey or other high concept indie titles, their games provide ideal ways to pass the time with younger relatives.
The games included in QubicGames and Forest Spirits’ all-ages bundle include Robonauts, Pocket Mini Golf, Mini Trains, Jumping Joe! Friends, Puzzle Book, and Not Not: A Brain Buster. To claim the titles, players must own or download the title Coloring Book which is freely available while the promotion lasts. Unfortunately, the deal expires at the end of August 16th—today. If none of the titles strike your fancy, it is still shaping up to be an excellent month for indie gaming on the Switch, with 10 high-quality titles launching in August.
This isn’t the first time the indie developer has done a giveaway for Switch, nor is it the largest. In December of last year, QubicGames released 10 free games over 10 days to honor its 15 year anniversary.
