Red Dead Online players have been having to deal with a lot recently. For those who haven’t heard, Rockstar rolled back a recent update after players were encountering rampant bugs and glitches throughout the game.
Thankfully, Rockstar is still working to implement the features that were intended to be introduced through the recent Red Dead Online update, but it may take some time. In the meantime, players are back online experiencing a less buggy open world, and one player shared an amazing clip of their friend saving them in a miraculous close call.
As mentioned above, Red Dead Online’s 1.21 update was filled with problems, involving glitchy horses and wildlife and connectivity issues. Rockstar has rolled back the update to put the game into a more stable state while the bugs are ironed out. This way, at least players can enjoy Red Dead Online in a more stable version instead of having to deal with constant glitches and problems that mar the experience. The official Red Dead Redemption subreddit is happy about this and sharing clips of amazing moments following the rollback.
One user by the name of SomeRandomChillGuy posted a clip that has garnered serious traction on the site. The clip shows the player rushing a stranger in an attempt to hogtie them. Unfortunately, the player and the stranger land on a track with a train barreling toward them. In an insanely miraculous move, the player’s friend who was standing behind them lasso’s the player off the stranger seconds before the train would have hit them, saving the player and killing the stranger. While the Red Dead Online subreddit was recently a massive bug list, it’s refreshing to see amazing clips like this surface again.
The clip showcases perfectly why having a posse in Red Dead Online can make the difference between life and death. Having friends online to back players up is a great way to avoid griefing from other Red Dead players, or at least have insurance in case of a nasty fight. Even if players don’t have any close or personal friends to play online with, communities like the game’s subreddit is a great place to find other players who would be willing to posse up online.
For now, though, members of the Red Dead Online community are probably just thankful that the raining alligators and flying horses are gone. While the game probably isn’t completely free of glitches or connectivity issues, at least it’s in a far better state than it was just a few days ago. Hopefully, Rockstar can iron out the problems with the latest update quickly and roll out the new features properly soon.
Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
