Fall Guys Asks Brands to Donate to Charity to Get In-Game Skin

Fall Guys has been a hit with players and a lot of players are enjoying how its basic controls lead to competitive gameplay. On top of creating an engaging experience, the game also enables players to get cosmetic items through winning games. These factors have helped Fall Guys dominate gaming in recent weeks but its latest campaign may build on this even further. The Twitter account of the game has now opened up a “Battle of the Brands” competition which looks set to have positive outcomes for all involved.

Since the release of the title, brands have been attempting to collaborate with Fall Guys by creating skins that would work within the game. This has excited players, and many have hoped that there would be future collaborations with their favorite companies. A new skin from an organization now appears to be on the way, but companies are having to publicly bid to get the coveted collaboration.

The rules for “Battle of the Brands” has been simple, organizations and individuals simply need to state how much they would be willing to donate to the charity SpecialEffect, whoever bids the highest will be able to have their desired skin once they have donated the money to the charity. The tweet noted the “thirst” from brands who have wanted to collaborate with Fall Guys and it seems the game is using this for a good cause. The team behind the game has stated that a hundred percent of the bid will go to SpecialEffect which helps gamers with disabilities in the UK and many seem to be impressed with this initiative.

A $130,003 bid from G2 Esports is currently leading the race after beating the offer from Minecraft server hosting company BisectHosting. At the moment, it seems that some companies that many would expect to bid have yet to get involved. The Twitter thread noted that the likes of KFC, Wendy’s, and Walmart may be interested, yet they have not put in an offer. However, with two weeks to submit bids, these companies wait until a later time to put in a winning bid to get the company brand in Fall Guys.

The bidding is in its early stages but with offers exceeding $100,000, it is evident that this scheme for charity is paying off. With concepts for Chuck E Cheese skins in Fall Guys and many more circulating, it will be interesting to see when some of the biggest brands in the world get involved in this initiative and how much money will be generated for charity.

Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
