The art book follows the news of a new co-op mode being added to Ghost of Tsushima later this year. Titled Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the multiplayer mode will feature different classes for players to choose from while taking on supernatural enemies. Players will battle a slew of demons while entering bizarre dimensions. The co-op mode will release this fall and will be free for all players.

Since Ghost of Tsushima‘s release mid July, the game has been in a back and forth battle with Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the U.K. sales charts. Both games have maintained momentum, trading first place every other week with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare not far behind. In addition, Tsushima quickly sold out in Japan at launch while in also being Sony’s best selling exclusive in U.S. in the month of July with no signs of stopping.

Ghost of Tsushima‘s successful portrayal of Samurai and classic Samurai cinema hasn’t gone unnoticed in the industry. On top of the positive review scores the game has received from fans and critics alike, icons within the industry have praised the game as well. Sega’s Toshihiro Nagoshi recently gave praise to Sucker Punch for avoiding common tropes that Japanese developers often go to when creating a character driven game. The Yakuza director also praised main character Jin Sakai, stating his depiction would not be possible by Japanese developers, who lean on older and much more handsome characters.

Seen as Sony’s last hurrah for the PlayStation 4, Ghost of Tsushima lets the console go out with a bang. While there is no word yet on what Sucker Punch will be working on next, it’s safe to say the developer is all hands on deck for the PlayStation 5 when it releases this fall.
