Apex Legends Game Breaking Revive Bug Returns In Season 6

Apex Legends‘ sixth season only started a couple of days ago and it hasn’t taken players long to become adjusted to the new changes and additional character, Rampart. In fact, a new tier list for the Legends as already been made to determine who are the best and worst characters to play as.

The update also included a new crafting feature and, as expected, fixed a number of bugs and glitches that had been hampering peoples’ gameplay. However, it appears one rather notorious bug is still affecting some players; one that many had hoped would be gone once Season 6 began.

The bug in question somehow prevents players from reviving their teammates, something that is fundamental for any team-based game like Apex Legends. The bug did appear in previous seasons, but was eventually believed to have been fixed, before rearing its ugly head again towards the end of Season 5.

The notes for Season 6 don’t mention anything about addressing this bug and it has been confirmed that it’s still lingering, which suggests that Respawn hasn’t figured out how to fix it yet. The only positive is that it appears to be quite rare and isn’t constantly ruining games, but if it does happen, it not only risks costing players a victory, it also may give the wrong impression and make some players think their teammates are deliberately not reviving them.

One player, for example, shared a gameplay clip on Reddit where they were unable to revive their Loba teammate due to the prompt not appearing, in an attempt to let the Loba player know that the lack of a revival was not on purpose.

Usually, if a player felt that their teammate had chosen not to revive them, they could report them for toxic behavior. In a worst case scenario, players affected by the glitch may receive abuse from angry teammates. Hopefully, news of this bug will become widespread and make players aware of the issue.

Still, the better solution is to have the bug fixed, preferably sooner rather than later. At the time of writing, though, Respawn has not commented on the issue and it isn’t listed on the public Trello board either.

Another, arguably even worse, bug affecting players involves new character Rampart, which is causing players to be ejected from the game entirely. Fortunately, Respawn is aware of this one and has stated that it’s working on a fix.

In related news, some players are already eagerly awaiting the next season, with recent leaks supposedly revealing a brand new map, which looks to be a tropical island of some kind.

Apex Legends is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
