Mr Beast Gives Away $20,000 in Special Fall Guys Challenge

At this point, virtually everyone with an Internet connection has heard of Mr Beast, whose rapid rise to popularity on social media has been helped by his outlandish antics and his tendency to give out extremely large cash prizes for wacky challenges. Compared to the $250,000 prize pool for a rock, paper, scissors competition, $20,000 for a game of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is small money to Mr Beast. But most people aren’t ultra-rich, so potentially winning $20,000 in a video games challenge is exciting news.

Fall Guys is proving to be incredibly popular this summer, and videos about Fall Guys can get tons of views. Jimmy “Mr Beast” Donaldson capitalized off the game’s huge hype on his gaming channel, where he offered $20,000 to the winner of his Fall Guys challenge. Of course, everyone involved in the challenge was a friend of Mr Beast, so the challenge wasn’t open to any takers. However, the YouTuber has a history of being generous with his cash both to close friends and to total strangers.

The video shows Jimmy Donaldson competing against his friends Chris and Carl for the prize, so there was a decent chance that Jimmy would go home with the money. The three friends each had a reason to win the money, and named “someone in need” in their lives that they’d donate the cash to. While some of the causes were more pressing than others, all three of the friends agreed to not keep the money for themselves.

Chris competed for his sister’s wedding and Carl played to help his mom with her debt, and Jimmy promised to donate $20,000 worth of food. With the ESA Summer 2020 charity speedrun cancelled, some of the summer’s biggest gaming for charity events are being held by individual personalities like Mr Beast.

Jimmy got eliminated a few rounds in during the first attempt, when his friends told him not to jump and he got whacked by a rolling log. Chris followed by falling off a platform, and Carl was eliminated in Fall Guys‘ new Jump Showdown level. The second attempt saw Jimmy again eliminated first, and another Jump Showdown round resulted in Carl and Chris competing for the prize with Carl finally coming out on top and grabbing the cash prize.

Jimmy Donaldson’s antics are sure to be far from over, and his Mr Beast gaming channel has lots of wacky videos like a 10,000-person Minecraft server raid. His video production prizes keep rising, and while some people may wonder how he sustains his huge cash giveaways, his videos are pretty entertaining and worth a watch for fans who enjoy watching hilarious challenges that just keep one-upping themselves.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now on PC and PS4.
