Rumor: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Switch Port Leaked

Earlier this month, Activision released the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Warehouse demo, giving fans a chance to try the new game a couple of weeks before its September 4 launch. Dataminers have been quick to dig through the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Warehouse demo files, discovering all sorts of secrets in the process. And the latest discovery may very well point to a Nintendo Switch port for the highly-anticipated game.

As shared by Twitter user DarthBellic, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 dataminers have found files in the Warehouse demo that feature images of Nintendo Switch controllers, strongly suggesting that a Switch port of the game is in the works. However, nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing, and so far, the game is only confirmed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is coming to the Switch as this leak suggests, it will be some time after the game is available on other platforms.

The potential Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Switch port isn’t the only thing that has leaked thanks to the Warehouse demo. While going through the Warehouse demo files, dataminers have also found evidence of possible secret characters that players will be able to unlock in the new game. Those that don’t want to know about potential Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 secret characters should look away.

If the leaks are accurate, one of the secret characters in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is none other than Officer Dick. Officer Dick should be familiar to fans of the older Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, but he has a new look this time around. Apparently, Officer Dick will be portrayed by Jack Black in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, so fans have that to look forward to in a couple of weeks.

The other secret character that leaked is a grey alien. The inclusion of the grey alien secret character seems to imply that the famous Roswell level from the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is returning for the new game, which should please longtime fans of the franchise. Meanwhile, there may very well be other secret characters that have yet to be discovered, so fans should keep an eye out.

Following Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5‘s poor reception, it’s good to see the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series get back on track with this remake collection. Hopefully Nintendo Switch fans get the chance to check it out at some point down the line as well.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 launches on September 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
