Since its release earlier this month, Fall Guys has become immensely popular. From popular streamers on Twitch to groups of friends, many players are running through the game’s various mini-game modes. However, there is one issue that is plaguing the game, and fans are bringing attention to that aspect of the game online.
While the game has only been out for a short while, Fall Guys has gotten a lot of attention from gamers. Even ESPN covered TimTheTatman’s first Fall Guys victory since the game’s official Twitter account had been bringing attention to the Twitch streamer’s failure so far. Despite the game’s soaring popularity, it seems that there are still issues in the game that are causing it to suffer.
One fan went on Reddit to bring people’s attention to the problem. The post contains a video showing two different players running through the Fall Mountain mini-game together. The players’ footage is side-by-side, so viewers can see what each player is seeing from their perspective. From the very beginning of the video, the issue is clear: each player sees themself in the lead throughout the entire game.
When they reach the crown to determine the victor, their own game footage shows them both to be winning against the other. However, it seems that the red character was in the lead the entire time, and the blue character was eliminated. From the viewer’s perspective, it’s impossible to tell which player is in the lead until the game proclaims the winner in the end.
The post garnered many views, and Fall Guys fans in the comments that this perspective answers some questions about some mechanical issues in the game. Some players said that they had been tail-grabbed when the opponent seemed to be several in-game feet away, and this footage put it in perspective for them. Many fans had an issue with the game’s lag, especially since some missed getting the nearly impossible Infallible achievement due to this bug. Mediatonic has not made any official statements thus far.
While many players enjoy Fall Guys, there are still a few fixes that need to be made for the game to be played without hiccups. Fall Guys hasn’t been out very long — it’s been less than a month — so Mediatonic hasn’t had much time to patch the game, and hopefully it won’t take it long until the issues are corrected.
