Remnant: From the Ashes‘ Subject 2923 DLC adds two new armor sets to Gunfire Games’ challenging action RPG in the Warlord Armor set and the Scavenger Armor set. While this new gear may not be quite as powerful as some of the best armor sets in the game, many players will certainly still be interested in adding it to their inventories, and this guide will detail exactly how that can be done.
To start with the Warlord Armor set, obtaining it requires players to travel to Reisum, a new location introduced in the Subject 2923 DLC. Here Remnant: From the Ashes fans should find and kill the Packmaster, a randomly-appearing enemy, in order to obtain the Packmaster’s Tusk. To note, if a player is not able to locate the Packmaster then they should simply reroll the Subject 2923 campaign and look again.
Once a player has earned the Packmaster’s Tusk they should then make their way to the shipwreck at the Frieran Sea in Reisum and climb up the side. Here fans will find a hole in the vessel, which they should look through to see the Warlord Armor. Now Remnant: From the Ashes players can make their way to the deck of the wreckage to find and interact with an NPC named Sebum, and they should select the “I have the tusk, what about that armor below deck” dialogue option to exchange the Packmaster’s Tusk for the Warlord Armor.
With respect to the the Scavenger Armor set, this comes from completing a random event called the Magir Test, which can appear at Judgement’s Spear in Resium. As with the Packmaster, players may need to reroll the Subject 2923 campaign in order to find this event, and they should specifically be looking for eight statutes in front of the entrance to a cave. Once located, Remnant: From the Ashes fans must determine which of the statues depicts the real Magir, and that is done by reading the text found below the figures.
After determining the correct statue, players should simply interact with it to disable the trap inside of the cave and then enter to collect the Scavenger Armor set in Remnant: From the Ashes‘ Subject 2923 DLC. Notably, each incorrect guess will cause one of the pieces of the Scavenger Armor set to disappear, and fans may want to double check their work before they lock in their answer. That said, it is indeed possible to earn any pieces that are lost in this fashion in subsequent runs, and thus players need not be too worried about failing the Magir Test their first time through.
Remnant: From the Ashes is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
