With Season of Arrivals extended until November 10, Destiny 2 players have a bit more time to enjoy the the game’s offerings before Beyond Light shakes things up. One thing fans should think about completing as soon as possible is the Annual Pass content. As the name suggests, the Annual Pass was a one-time purchase for Destiny 2: Forsaken owners that granted a year long roadmap of drip-fed content, which was designed to sate the dedicated fans who would crave more to do in the game in between yearly fall expansions.
Last year, before Shadowkeep had launched, all of the Annual Pass content was made free for Forsaken owners with Forges, Menagerie, Reckoning, and Gambit Prime becoming free for all players. Sadly, the latest TWAB article clarified that despite the Annual Pass not being associated with the planets leaving Destiny 2, it will be removed alongside them. So, here are some top picks that players should check off their lists before it’s too late.
Ada-1 is going to be the vendor for those who want to experience the black armory pursuits, and the major things to look out for are the exotic Black Armory weapons: Jotunn, Le Monarque, and Izanagi’s Burden. These weapons are highly unique, handle really well, and are quite powerful in the correct situations.
The Niobe Labs is a wave based puzzle/combat extravaganza that is unique even in Destiny 2‘s activity pool and can be a real challenge. Last but not least, Scourge of the Past raid holds one of the best weapons in the game called Anarchy. It’s armor sets have been updated to last a year longer as well, and the raid is farmable right now.
The focus here is once again the exotic weapons. The Thorn hand cannon is awarded from a questline while Outbreak Perfected can be earned from a secret, time-based mission, and those who’d like to see Destiny become a bit more of an RPG can try the Allegiance quest where players are given a choice between siding with the Drifter or the Vanguard.
Select weapons from Reckoning’s loot pool have been updated to season 11 standards and the activity has been made easier and more farmable. Other than that, the armor sets aren’t worth going after as they will soon be sunset and Bungie will make their visuals earnable again in year 4.
One of the main attractions of this season was the Tribute Hall because it harbors a secret mission that awards the exotic pulse rifle Bad Juju. Players should also consider earning the exotics Lumina and Truth via their current questlines before the Annual Pass disappears.
The Crown of Sorrow raid, similar to Scourge of the Past, offers updated armor sets and no weekly lockouts. Players shouldn’t bother with Menagerie at this point as the only item from its loot pool that won’t be sunset next season is the Bad Omens rocket launcher.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
