Call of Duty: Modern Warfare matches are about to shake up with the addition of a new LMG. Revealed to be in the Season 5 Reloaded update, the mighty FiNN gun bridges the divide between assault rifle and LMG with its accuracy and fire rate. This new weapon is sure to change both Modern Warfare and Warzone, and fans are already talking about it.
The recently revealed Season 5 Reloaded update includes quite a bit of content. New modes, a new character, a Warzone tournament, and solo trials all await players when the update arrives in the final hours of August 24. The upcoming event, Games of Summer, will surely be a blast for players and will bring new life into Season 5. Not least of all is the addition of this mighty new LMG.
The FiNN is described as being the heaviest of the LMGs, doing more damage than its competitors. It comes with exceptional accuracy when used in full-auto mode. This makes the FiNN a true combination of LMG and assault rifle, with the best of both worlds. Rather than being included in the Warzone Battle Pass, players can unlock the FiNN by either completing an in-game challenge or—if they have the money—buying a blueprint variant in the “Mainframe” bundle.
This lightweight but deadly gun is sure to be great for laying down suppressive fire for teams to flank enemies. Its damage will also help players take down enemy helicopters. It is unclear how the player’s movement speed will be affected, considering it is described as being like an assault rifle, but the damage will likely outweigh any weight issues.
The FiNN looks to be a contender for many great Warzone loadouts, both for veterans and new players alike. Fans have complained in previous Call of Duty games about having the best weapons locked behind a purchase, but the fact that there is also a challenge in the game to unlock it means that it can be free to everyone. It will be interesting to see which players will take the time to unlock it for free and which will just buy it outright.
The fact that a new gun is being added is concerning with the demon gun glitch being back in the game. Hopefully, the Season 5 Reloaded update comes equipped with a fix for the bug that has been plaguing players’ screens. It would be awful for a player to buy or unlock the new gun, only for it to show up as a black spiky mass. Either way, the FiNN looks like it will make a big impact in the game over the following days.
