The success of Fall Guys is undeniable. The last-man-standing game has become an instant success. Fall Guys is now the highest downloaded PlayStation Plus game ever, as it is built for laugh old loud fun. Some of the mini-games inside of Fall Guys aren’t as loved as others, but one fan has mastered what many consider to be Fall Guy‘s hardest level.
Mediatonic has said that the game is designed to be 50% skill and 50% luck. This means that those who work hard at their Fall Guys craft should still have consistent success overall, but may get unlucky from time to time. Meanwhile, those who take the game less seriously, or just find it hard overall, will still luck themselves into some mini-game wins and maybe even a crown (signifying a victory).
When it comes to Slime Climb, the level is extremely hard. Perhaps that 50% skill and 50% luck is more like 75% skill and 25% luck. The developers showed exactly how Slime Climb was built, and the story is intriguing, but the challenge of the final result can’t be denied. That being said, fans are learning how to speedrun the course and a YouTuber named Maitrash has shared his insanely fast run.
Maitrash managed to beat Slime Climb in just 44.61 seconds, a time TimTheTatman would most likely never be able to achieve in Fall Guys. But the majority of the playerbase probably cannot beat that 44.61 time. One thing that is important when it comes to this fast run is that the game was set up perfectly for Maitrash. He started the game in the front of the line, so he didn’t have to deal with bumping into other players or getting held back. If someone starts at the back of the group, not only would they have a slightly longer distance to run, they will also have to wade through the sea of other Fall Guys players.
Once beginners in Fall Guys learn the tricks and get their feet wet, they can perhaps start working on speedruns and mastering each course. Maitrash’s run is not an easy one to beat, however.
The game has become a phenomenon, breaking download records, streaming records, and more. Fall Guys is even getting its own talk show, much like Animal Crossing‘s Animal Talking. The game will most likely always have a certain amount of Mario Party style luck to it, built for hilarity with friends. But with such a large playerbase, some will learn to master each course and dominate the competition.
