Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is the sensation currently taking over the gaming world. The series of battle royale party games, which leave one winner with the crown, has inspired players to use a range of tactics in order to win, including even the lead developer of Fall Guys, Joe Walsh.
This week the first episode of Talk Guys premiered, which is a Fall Guys inspired talk show from the creators of Animal Talking. Hosted by Twitch streamer Kate Stark and Animal Talking host Gary Whitta, the talk show takes place during a game of Fall Guys with the guests and hosts going head to head. The first guests on the show this week included streamer DrLupo and Fall Guys dev Joe Walsh.
During the last rounds of Fall Guys, Walsh brought his A-game in order to win, which included some dirty tactics. In the final round of Jump Showdown, with just Stark and Walsh left in the game, Walsh snuck in and used the grab maneuver to knock Stark off balance and have her eliminated. Stark proclaimed Walsh to be a ‘griefer,’ which, as anyone who plays Fall Guys knows, is the most annoying kind of player. Walsh’s response on Twitter was “anything goes in the pursuit of those crowns,” which seems to be a mantra for many Fall Guys players.
However, ‘griefer’ players are far less of a problem than hackers, which is an issue currently plaguing Fall Guys. The devs have promised that Fall Guys’ hacker problem will be addressed, but until then players have to deal with others using all kinds of speed and jump hacks to win the crown unfairly. Some players are even choosing to attempt to stop hackers from winning a round at the expense of their own chances of progressing.
All players will be excited to learn that Fall Guys season two has recently been announced, with more new games and themes heading to the party game this October. The theme of the season is medieval which will introduce new rounds and build on some of the familiar games such as Hoopsie Daisy. There will also be plenty of new costumes filling up the store including knights, dragons, wizards, and Vikings.
During Talk Guys, questions were also asked around whether Fall Guys would be coming to other platforms such as Xbox and Nintendo Switch, to which the response from Walsh was “maybe one day,” which still gives hope for more platforms to join the battle royale party. Until then, Fall Guys has still been doing insanely well on PC and PS4, even becoming the most downloaded PS Plus game of all time.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now on PC and PS4.
