Call of Duty: Warzone Devs Working on Superstore Money Glitch

Call of Duty: Warzone has embraced all the best parts of the chaos a battle royale game can bring. The frenetic pace of the game can often offset the downtime inherent to its brand of open arena shooter battle royale. Moments like blowing up a helicopter with a truck are not commonplace, but not unheard of either, which is usually a good thing in a fast-paced FPS.

Because the game is a battle-royale shooter invested in keeping players on board, it updates very often by necessity. This leaves room for a lot of glitches and bugs to slip through the cracks, and Warzone definitely has bugs.

Players who have been dropping at Superstore have been finding a lot more than they bargained for. Instead of the usual money pickups, players have been getting boatloads of cash, much more than they would ever need for a single game. This glitch seems localized to Superstore, and Infinity Ward’s devs have promised they are working on the glitch via a new task added to its community Trello board. At the moment though, it’s a breeze for anyone who lands at Superstore to buy Warzone‘s best weapons and killstreaks, with cash to spare leftover.

The cash seems to be connected to loot bags from the game’s Plunder mode, which should not spawn in the standard Battle Royale mode. Something in the game is causing them to appear exclusively in Superstore. While Infinity Ward is hunting down the problem, players are getting a major advantage if they manage to land and survive at Superstore. Players will certainly be less upset at this glitch than at the seemingly immortal “Demon Gun” glitch, but for the sake of game balance, it’s probably best that the glitch goes away soon.

While it can certainly be tempting to take advantage of such a golden opportunity, players may want to think twice before making a beeline to the Superstore. The dropzone is likely to be much hotter than normal while the glitch persists, and not everyone will survive. On top of that, Activision recently sued a Call of Duty cheat website for providing aid to hackers and the like. The company may not ban anyone who does it due to them being at fault, but better safe than sorry.

Players who want the rush won’t get another chance. Just make sure to keep any bragging in check, as some braggarts wind up in hot water for cheating in Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
