Falcon Age is a beautiful VR title that was first released on PlayStation VR last year. The game is about reclaiming one’s culture, with the help of a special bond with a bird. And now, after many requests from fans, Falcon Age is headed to Oculus Quest.
The official Twitter page of Outerloop Games, the developer behind Falcon Age, sent out a Tweet recently announcing the released date of the VR game for the relatively affordable Oculus Quest. It will be headed to the VR headset in just a few days, on September 3, 2020.
Falcon Age reviewed very well as a PSVR title last year. Especially because of the intimacy of virtual reality, the game handles the friendship between humans and animals in a way few titles can. The game is powerful, emotional, and simply fun.
Outerloop Games followed up the original Tweet about Falcon Age headed to Oculus Quest, that included a pretty little trailer, by mentioning that it took “lots of heavy lifting” to get the game to run on the device. Hopefully, the final result is a smooth and well-performing experience, because the core game is worth playing.
2020 has been an interesting year for VR games. The year started with a bang with Half-Life: Alyx being one of the most highly regarded VR games to date. Although Falcon Age is a game from last year, it’s very nice to see it in the hands, and on the face, of more players. As VR continues to grow, it’s games like Falcon Age that show what the potential can be.
Falcon Age is available now on PS4 and PSVR and will be available on Oculus Quest on September 3, 2020.
