Cyberpunk 2077 PC Recommended Specs are Coming Soon | Game Rant

It’s been a tumultuous 24 hours for Cyberpunk 2077, which is funny considering no major announcements have been made. Cyberpunk 2077 was featured in Nvidia’s recent showcase of its 3000 series RTX graphics cards. A trailer featuring DLSS-enhanced Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay with ray-tracing was shown in all its glory. Alongside the trailer, an image from Nvidia was shared that led to some confusion, prompting CD Projekt Red to tell fans that PC specifications will be coming soon.

It’s a roundabout story, but the key part of it is that one Nvidia image that was shared in the Cyberpunk 2077 community. The image included a screenshot of Cyberpunk 2077 with labeling at the bottom saying, “Next-Gen Games Creat I/O Challenges” with a mention of “200GB Games” below it. Cyberpunk 2077 fans on Reddit ran with the image, questioning whether Cyberpunk 2077 will require a 200GB install. Naturally, reactions to the possibility were not particularly rational.

Regardless of the controversial response, the popularity of the post on Reddit was big enough that CD Projekt Red took notice. Community Lead Marcin Momot made a post on Twitter clarifying the situation, saying that Cyberpunk 2077 “won’t take up 200GB when installed.” Further, he adds that, “You can expect the required HDD space to be on par with other modern titles.” No final number is provided because CD Projekt Red is still finalizing Cyberpunk 2077‘s final system requirements.

That’s where the important bit of Momot’s post on Twitter comes in. Momot says that while Cyberpunk 2077‘s system requirements are not available yet, but “they are coming soon.” PC gamers will be able to evaluate Cyberpunk 2077‘s minimum and recommended requirements in the somewhat near future, though Momot doesn’t provide any information more specific than “soon,” unfortunately. Players will have to wait until then to know exactly how much storage space Cyberpunk 2077 will take up.

For those hoping to make a rough estimation regarding the storage space likely required for Cyberpunk 2077, some guesses can probably be made. Marvel’s Avengers requires 90GB, for example. Watch Dogs Legion, on the other hand, will require just 40GB. Cyberpunk 2077 likely fits somewhere in the middle.

Those looking forward to more Cyberpunk 2077 news, whether it’s related to PC specifications or otherwise, won’t have to wait long. A new Night City Wire event for Cyberpunk 2077 has already been confirmed for the end of September. It’ll air as part of Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online, a digital version of the annual Japanese convention. PC specifications could be revealed during the event.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 19, with PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X support to follow.
