Iron Harvest is finally out today and Developer King Arts Games is marking the occasion with a launch trailer featuring a slew of new mechs, dozens of units, and the games eccentric cast of characters from the campaign.
Finally coming out of the open beta that launched late July, Iron Harvest is officially out on consoles and PC. The game belongs to the Real-Time Strategy genre and is set in an alternate history of the 1920s. The game features both a single-player campaign and a Co-Op campaign telling the story of the fight against evil forces with 3 factions fighting across the ravaged European countrysides after the end of the Great War.
Thanks to a free limited demo for Iron Harvest earlier in the year, players have had a small sampling of all the wide-ranging units the game has to offer from ground units to Dieselpunk mechs, and a choice between 3 playable factions. The full game will feature over 40 different units with varied strengths, weaknesses, and tactics ranging from stealth to all-out assault.
Of course, like any classic RTS, Iron Harvest will feature multiplayer modes for players looking to test their skills online. Players are able to set up skirmishes, challenge maps, and ranked matches to move up the multiplayer ladder within the game. The game seems like it came straight out of the 1990s and is ready to put up a fight with EA’s recent release of Command and Conquer Remastered, which itself recently added LAN play.
Iron Harvest is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
