It’s looking like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is the series’ best remaster.
Announced back in May, the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remastered collection officially releases tomorrow. The game has been in the hands of many in the games press, and today, they tell all about their time with it.
As the name suggests, this is a full-on remake of the first two Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, recreated in a modern engine with the visuals and presentation you’d expect from modern games. The remaster introduces support for HDR, all running at 60fps and in near 4K resolutions on capable devices.
Although these are mostly the originals as you remember them, the remaster brings revert and manual to both games, something introduced in later entries. All skaters from the original game return, and as does the soundtrack.
You’ll be able to create your own skater, and even design parks and share them with others online. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 has no microtransactions at launch, with cross-play potentially coming down the line.
