Atlus Drops First Update for Persona 4 Golden With Major Fixes

Persona 4 Golden has gotten back into the public eye ever since Atlus brought the game to Steam. The game was downloaded over 500,000 times in its first month, and now players can look forward to the first major update for this PC version.

Many players have been excited to see Persona 4 Golden come to a new platform. Following the game’s release in June, Patch 1.1 has an update size of 4.13 GB, and some players may say this was well-needed addition to the game.

This update fixes various bugs in the game. Now, Persona 4 Golden will not crash during specific scenarios, and the patch notes say that fixes include a lower playback mode, allowing for much smoother play on older computers or ones that aren’t as equipped to run games. The update also fixes blank items, which could show up in a player’s inventory without warning and potentially cause the game to freeze or crash completely.

The new update also fixes issues the game was having with cutscenes. Some cutscenes of the game played audio that didn’t seem to sync up with the animation, making some characters stutter when the issue was present. Since the update from Atlus released, this and other item glitches have been fixed.

Persona 4 Golden has opened up new door for other Persona games, as well as other titles from Sega, and now the company is planning to port other fan-loved games to the PC. However, fans of the franchise will have to wait and see what games are brought to Steam next.

Persona 4 Golden is available now for PC and PS Vita.
